Irene Kuo is the Director of Prime Contract Management at Fluor Australia Pty Ltd, bringing over 20 years of legal, commercial, and governance experience across the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors. She has led high-value contract negotiations on complex, multi-billion-dollar projects and is recognised for her ability to provide clear, strategic direction in fast-moving commercial environments.

Her career includes senior in-house legal roles at Fortescue and Rio Tinto, where she advised on major project development, front-end construction, procurement, and legal technology initiatives. Irene also previously served as Legal Manager – AI, Legal Technology & Operations at Fortescue, contributing to the organisation’s broader transformation into a global green energy leader.

Irene is the Immediate Past President of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) WA Division and a former National Non-Executive Director. In 2025, she was appointed to the Advisory Board of the University of Western Australia Law School, where she brings an industry lens to legal education, innovation, and the future of the profession.

A respected speaker and facilitator at national conferences, Irene is known for her practical insights into legal innovation, governance, and inclusive leadership. In 2024, she was recognised as the Diversity Leader by the Asian Australian Lawyers Association for her sustained advocacy in building a more inclusive and future-focused legal community.
