Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson

Professor Jeannie Marie Paterson FAAL is a Professor of Law and Director of the Centre for AI and Digital Ethics in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Melbourne.

Jeannie is a graduate of ANU and Monash University.

She teaches and researches in the fields of consumer protection, product liability and data protection law, with a particular interest in the regulation of AI, misinformation and online safety, along with the role of normative standards of fairness in private law.

Jeannie holds a current practising certificate and regularly consults to government and not for profits.
